Certified by the Mexican Council of General Surgery, and a graduate of Advanced Specialty in Bariatric Surgery at Hospital Angeles Tijuana. He completed a fellowship in bariatric surgery at Gastroobeso Center Clinic in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2018.

He is an active member of various medical associations such as the Mexican Association of General Surgery (AMCG), Mexican Association of Endoscopic Surgery (AMCE), Mexican College for Obesity and Metabolic Diseases (CMCOEM)

Has more than 7 years of experience in Bariatric Surgery, and has participated in over 1000 cases in surgeries such as Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass, One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass, Single Anastomosis Duodeno-Ileal Switch, and revision surgeries.
